The Chamber of Commerce of Gooi-, Eem- en Flevoland
The Chamber of Commerce of the Gooi-, Eem- en Flevoland region is committed to advancing the growth and prosperity of local commerce and industry. Successful enterprise primarily demands a business-friendly climate. In addition, such a climate also entails a consistent demand for the availability of entrepreneurial knowledge and information.
Innovation takes place on many different business fronts and, in that regard, the Chamber of Commerce endeavours to provide the necessary support for local entrepreneurs.
The Chamber of Commerce has provided support for a number of different projects over the past year, including projects in the gaming industry, the rollout of broadband in Amersfoort, and the establishment of the Cross Media Monitor. The monitor was established under the direction of iMMovator. IMMovator is an initiative that was launched in Hilversum, but which has meanwhile expanded well beyond its original boundaries.
A wide range of projects has been initiated in the region with the support and cooperation of partners in commerce and industry, as well as the municipality of Hilversum and the Province of Noord-Holland. One such project was the establishment of an innovation centre occupying a surface area of 6,000 m2 in collaboration with TCN, the owner of Media Park in Hilversum. The Chamber of Commerce of Amersfoort is closely involved in the Amersfoort Creative City initiative that is aimed at setting up a location for an incubator for new creative entrepreneurs.
