Springdance

Springdance is unique in the Netherlands as a festival that focuses on the most current developments in international contemporary dance. It is a progressive festival that constantly seeks to renew and broaden the concept of dance, in its believe that art has to develop itself permanently.

The festival shows work by independent dance makers from the Netherlands and abroad, by young makers as well as by more established ones. The dance makers show dance in all its contexts, in the theatre and on location, from performance to installation, in order to broaden the experience of dance. They are extending the boundaries of dance, offering a unique perspective on the art form as well as on the world we all inhabit.
