Photography Association of the Netherlands

Photography Awards
One of PANL’s most important activities is the organisation of the annual Photography Awards. All submissions are exhibited and an international jury selects the best work. The selected photographs are then compiled and published in an annual publication that is sent to clients around the world. The Photography Annual of the Netherlands therefore represents a powerful promotional tool for Dutch photography.

Creativity
The association stimulates the creativity and professionalism of photography in countless ways, including by organising meetings, workshops and master classes for members and generally supporting the interests of photographers. For example, all photographers that are affiliated with PANL also automatically become members of Burafo (an association that protects and maintains author’s rights) and the Photographers federation of the Netherlands.

Broader mission
All of PANL’s activities form part of the association’s broader mission: to ensure that Dutch photographers are placed well and truly on the map.
