Mart-Jan Oosterveld and architect Gert-Jan de Jong came up with the idea that people should be able to watch movies in the outdoors on lovely summer’s evenings. Since then Hilversum has had its own open movie house. Oosterveld, who graduated as an architect at the Technische Universiteit Delft, started his career at Zwarts & Jansma Architecten and Overhagen, Pickers, Luger Architecten. In 2001 he started his own architect’s firm in Hilversum, named MOOST architectuuwerkplaats (Architecture Workshop).
